Law and Social Change Survey Database

2018 Law and Social Change Survey R5 (1)💻

【Constitution and Human Rights Survey】

Respondents

This survey is targeted at adults aged 20 and above living in Taiwan.

Methodology

The survey was conducted via LimeSurvey, an online survey platform. To ensure that the samples collected were not all voluntary samples, respondents were selected from a telephone interview database compiled by the Election Study Center at the National Chengchi University (NCCU). The database comprises respondents who had previously agreed to participate in the survey when asked via telephone interview. While the sample is neither random nor voluntary, it remains, to a certain extent, probabilistic in concept. Therefore, it may be regarded as a pseudo-probabilistic sampling method.

The survey was carried out by the Pollcracy Lab at NCCU’s Election Study Center from October 22, 2019 (Tuesday) to November 5, 2019 (Tuesday). The questionnaire was sent to 24,427 respondents who had previously participated in a telephone survey, of which 1,100 respondents had completed the questionnaire and 133 respondents only answered a part of the questions. Incomplete responses were not taken into consideration when determining the proportion of fully completed questionnaires. In the end, the completion ratio was computed to be 4.50%.
