Our project team has carried out “Taiwan Law and Social Change Survey” research project from 2008 and develops an ad hoc questionnaire model to evaluate “law and social life” with survey research in the social sciences. Through explaining what respondants think qualitatively and quantitatively, we not only fill the gaps in perspectives arised from the current academic overemphasis on legal hermeneutics, but also provide empirical data to help decision makers in public sectors develop concise and confident policies.
From 2009 to 2022, we have conducted 12 Taiwan law and social change surveys nationwide with random digit dialing (RDD) and/or face-to-face interviews: 8 are general topics while the other 4 are thematic surveys. The survey data and research results are archived and disclosed both on this site and the Survey Research Data Archive (SRDA) of Academia Sinica with the hope to help students, researchers and general public with the achievement of its best value.
